Google is developing a new machine learning model that allows users to shop products from photos from a website. It will be available both online and via its Google Search app but iOS users will get to try this feature first.

The company is using a new machine learning model to identify products found in images on a website and make it “shoppable” instantly.

On Google Search app, if users see something that catches their eyes while browsing the web, they can click on the new button to turn images into shoppable products through Google Lens. This added function will take the shopping convenience level into a new height.

Moreover, shopping for clothing products or accessories would also be easier thanks to the new search interface. When consumers search for these items, it will display a visual feed of products matching their queries including multiple colors and styles, style guides, and where to buy them. Consumers can also make use of the search tools to filter the products by brand, ratings, reviews, styles, inventory status, and more.

The new experience is backed up by “Shopping Graph”, a real-time data set of product inventory that consists of more than 24 billion listings.
